  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    To apply for state/federal financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually by Miami University’s priority deadline using Miami’s Federal School Code of 003077. New transfer students admitted to Miami University’s Oxford campus in the fall or spring semesters will be considered for transfer scholarship opportunities.

  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Have you had life, military or work experiences where you may have gained college level learning outcomes? Miami University has some opportunities that will allow you to apply for college credit for learning earned outside of academia.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    In order to be eligible to apply all students must have a minimum cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher and must be in good academic standing at their current college.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Provide transcripts for each institution you have attended, including any CCP or dual credit courses. High school transcripts are required at the time of application if you haven’t completed 20 graded semester hours of college-level coursework.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    If you’re in your first term of college, we recommend that you submit a mid-term report with current grades and/or a recommendation from a college instructor.
  • Application Fee:
    $50 non-refundable application fee or qualified fee waiver
  • Other Requirements:
    Some majors in the College of Creative Arts have portfolio, audition, or video requirements for admission. The Farmer School of Business has additional, minimum requirements for transfer admission.
